Of course, just because her mom found her stash doesn’t mean that Aloe is going to stop hoarding hair ties. They’re her most prized possessions, and as long as they’re lying around the house, she’ll find a way to play with them and hide them away.
Cat Asks For Help Retrieving Hair Tie And Accidentally Receals Her Hidden Stash
Aloe has resisted using typical cat toys ever since she was a kitten. She instead plays with her hair knots. They rank among her all-time favorite things. Aloe is a content cat as long as she has her hair ties.
Aloe’s mother recently saw her laying on the floor with her paw out, apparently attempting to retrieve something that had become caught under the washing machine. She walked over to attempt to assist, thinking it was only a hair tie, but instead she discovered a great surprise.
“I assumed she had gotten a singular hair tie stuck under it, so I grabbed a clothes hanger and stuck it under the washer,” Anne Tam, Aloe’s mom, told The Dodo. “Lo and behold, almost 30 hair ties came out!”
Aloe accidentally exposed her hidden supply of hair ties when she signaled that she needed assistance, which wasn’t the intended outcome. However, she also really enjoyed having them all in front of her like that, so everything turned out for the best.
“When Aloe saw them, I think she was in heaven,” Tam said. “She sat there and stared for a second and then started pawing at all of them (which caused some of them to fly back underneath the washer). It was a really hilarious sight to see.”
