Kitten Rescued By Police Lands Job As Cutest Buddy in The World
Most of the time, animals decide who they want to be their humans permanently, or occasionally, life itself brings together two souls who were meant to be together.
Two Durham Police Department officers from North Carolina conducted their patrol on Wednesday of last week much like any other day. They had no idea that a tiny emergency would forever alter their lives and that they would also save a kitten’s life at the moment.

The two policemen decided to stop and help the poor little homeless animal to find his feline mother or his possible family and home. Hoping to find his family, officers began searching the neighborhood as they searched for a possible mother cat.
After searching for a while, no one claimed the little one, so it became clear that the kitten was alone and had no home to go to.
While on patrol at Dawkins Street and Linwood Avenue, policemen JN Rowsey and EL Masnik came upon a little ball of fur that drew their attention. A closer look revealed that it was a little kitten that was afraid, alone, and seemingly abandoned.

The cat quickly emerged from his shell, made himself at home with his rescuer, and concluded that climbing upon his shoulders was the best place to remain. The cat, perched on the officer’s shoulders, shouted his lovely meows as if he were ready to flee the streets.
The kitten decided to adopt her as his new human mother after spending some time at Rowsey’s side, and she was unable to refuse.
The officer had fallen madly in love with the little tabby and decided to adopt him. From that moment he became the cutest companion in the world.
The woman took the little boy to the vet for a general medical checkup, got him a clean bill of health, and named him Dobby. After tests, the kitten was estimated to be approximately six weeks old.
According to the officer’s family, this is not the first time Rowsey has saved a kitten. Dobby became her second rescued cat.
Added by the police department:
“The fortunate cat was adopted by one of the policemen. He adapted well and seemed overjoyed to have discovered Officer Rowsey as his new home.”
Dobby won’t ever again have to spend a day traveling the streets in search of food and shelter. What began as a normal stop to aid an animal evolved into the beginning of a friendship that will last a lifetime.
